This exciting urban project is an adaptive reuse and redevelopment of the former OUC Administration Building to a proposed Starwood Aloft hotel. The Starwood Aloft brand (www.starwoodhotels.com/alofthotels) is a unique lifestyle hotel that incorporates the design elements of the W Hotel brand while catering to a more budget-conscious clientele. The project is expected to qualify for LEED designation and will incorporate environmentally-friendly construction materials and mechanical systems. The hotel will contain approximately 119 guest rooms, meeting space, a fitness center and other amenities. It will have a generous lobby with comfortable furnishings, billiards, light food and bar service. Aloft hotels are designed to encourage the guests to spend time in the common areas and interact with one another and other members of the community.
